The U.S. Embassy in Libya reported today that following its stop in Tunisia, the US Naval Ship, USS MOUNT WHITNEY, has arrived in Tripoli.
On board were Vice Admiral J.T. Anderson, Commander of the U.S. 6th Fleet, Ambassador Richard Norland, the U.S. Special Envoy to Libya, and Jeremy Berndt, Chargé d’affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Libya.
They are to start their visit to Tripoli and Benghazi to discuss U.S. Libya security cooperation, regional security, and U.S. support for the unity of Libya, the Embassy reported.
