The Municipal Council of Zliten today called on the Tripoli based Libyan Prime Minister, Abdel Hamid Aldabaiba, and his Ministry of Defence to intervene urgently to resolve the dispute in front of the Arab Union Construction Company cement factory in the city, with reports of the presence of armed groups in front of the factory.
The council demanded the withdrawal of forces from outside the city from in front of the factory, stressing the need to adopt peaceful solutions and negotiations to resolve the matter.
Attorney General’s arrest order for group stopping operations at the cement factory
The call for government intervention by Zliten Municipality comes on the back of an arrest order issued by the Attorney General to arrest several accused of stopping operations at the cement factory.
