The Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund announced today that its Director General, Belgassem Khalifa Haftar, signed a contract for the completion and development of Omar Al-Mukhtar University in Al-Beida with Turkish construction company T.M.L.
The Fund said this comes as part of efforts to strengthen the higher education sector and provide an advanced academic environment for students and faculty members.
The contract includes the implementation and completion of the remaining works represented in the restoration, rehabilitation and development of the existing library building, the College of Veterinary Medicine building, the College of Education building and the administration building, in addition to the construction of the new central library building according to the latest standards, which contributes to improving the quality of education and developing the academic process within the university.
The Fund says this project also comes within its plan to support educational institutions in Libya with the aim of achieving a scientific renaissance that contributes to building the future of upcoming generations.
