The Libyan Italian Development and Construction Forum will be held in eastern Libya in 2025.
The announcement was made last Monday (10 March) by Belgassem Khalifa Haftar, in his role as the Director General of the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund, during his meeting in Benghazi with the high-level Italian aviation delegation.
Belgassem Hafter said ‘‘We shall witness in the coming period of 2025 the announcement of the Italian Libyan Forum for Development and Construction, with the participation of Italian companies in this construction renaissance, and led by the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund, in all Libyan areas and cities across all sectors such as infrastructure, health, housing, education, agriculture and energy.’’
It was after this meeting that it was announced last Monday that direct flights between Benghazi and Rome and Milan are scheduled to be launched in early June.
