Tripoli based Libyan Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Hwej, held a meeting with the Italian Ambassador to Libya, Gianluca Alberini, at the Ministry’s Tripoli office today.
During the meeting the two discussed several joint economic files to improve the quality and raise the level of trade between Libya and Italy.
Specifically, the Tripoli government reported that they:
- Discussed supporting commercial movement and facilitating visas for Libyan businessmen and citizens.
- Emphasised the importance of solving the problems facing business owners between Libya and Italy.
- Discussed the proposal to enhance customs cooperation and ease customs burdens for Libyan suppliers.
- Prepared a unified vision to implement an economic diversification plan and raise the GDP of non-oil exports.
