Akakus Oil Operations announced last Tuesday (31 December 2024) that it had started the drilling of the new development well H-50 NC115 in the Sharara oil field.
The well is expected to produce 1,500 barrels per day.
Akakus Oil said this comes as part of the expansion plans to enhance national production.
