Misrata Chamber of Commerce receives Italian business delegation

Misrata Chamber opens registration of contracting companies to implement its projects – including foreign and JV companies

Misrata Chamber of Commerce received an Italian business delegation yesterday headed by Robert Chilotti, Vice President of the Italian province of Mantua (Lombardy), accompanied by Rafik Trimish, businessman and coordinator of the visit, and several Italian businessmen and economic personalities in Italy.

The Italian delegation was hosted at the Chamber’s Misrata headquarters and were met by Misrata Chamber chairman, Fathi Al-Amin Al-Turki, accompanied by several board members, directors of departments, and a group of businessmen in the city of Misrata.

‎Al-Turki introduced the city of Misrata in general and the Misrata Chamber of Commerce in particular, and the most important projects that are under construction, the most important of which is the investment tower of the Chamber.‎

‎Fisheries, agriculture and industry
The two parties also discussed many important issues such as facilitating the issuance of visas for businessmen in both countries and opening investment horizons for Italian businessmen in Libya in general and the city of Misrata in particular, in the fields of fisheries, agriculture and industry.‎

‎Transit road, direct flights and shipping lines
Al-Turki also called on the Italian side to invest in the construction of the Misrata-Sebha Agadez (Niger) Road to facilitate transit trade for landlocked countries in Africa. He also urged the Italian side to open direct flights between the city of Misrata and Italian cities and strengthen sealines between the two countries. ‎
