Libyan French Forum for Development and Reconstruction opened in Benghazi with participation of 50 French companies

Eastern Libya signs MoU to construct its section of the Egypt – Libya – Chad Transit Road Project

The Libyan French Forum for Development and Reconstruction (26-27 November) opened in Benghazi yesterday with the participation of 50 major French companies. The companies were in the education, communications, infrastructure, health, investment, transportation, agriculture, and other, sectors.

Inaugurating the event, Belgassem Hafter, the head of the Libyan Development and Reconstruction Fund, stressed that the success of the forum is a success for all institutions and companies that contributed to achieving it on the ground. He pointed to the aspirations of both sides through the agreement to hold the second edition of the forum next year in Paris.

‎The French side of the forum was headed by France’s Ambassador to Libya, Mostafa Miharaje, the accompanying French diplomatic delegation, and the Director of North Africa – Regional Director of Business France, Michel Bauza.‎

‎It is reported that the second day of the conference will see the signing of several memorandums of understanding and contracts with Business France and major French companies.‎
