‎The symposium, the LEPC reported. will be presented by Dr. Mariam Gharsalaoui and Eng. Radwan Matlaya from Tunisia. The themes of the symposium will be:‎

‎The LEPC said its support of the event comes because of the great interest it pays to the olive oil file because it is considered one of the most important natural resources that have a high competitive quality to access global markets.

It will be recalled that Libyan olive oils have won several international prizes for their quality, including in Miami, Athens, Geneva, Tokyo, Oslo, and Berlin. One Libyan brand, Libico olive oil, is already exporting some quantities to Italy. However, Libya has been unable to leverage this to export large quantities of its olive oil production.
