Libya’s state National Oil Corporation (NOC) reported today that its Al-Sarir Oil Operations Company succeeded in maintaining five oil wells, two of which returned to security and safety levels, and restored production in the B22 and B15 wells at a rate of more than 1,000 barrels per day each.
Well B22 had been out of service for technical reasons since the company took over operating duties from the previous operator (foreign partner) in late 2020.
Al-Sarir also completed the maintenance of three other wells without the need for the use of rigs, with the aim of reducing associated water production, resulting in an increase in oil production by 2,000 barrels per day from wells B14, B24 and B46.
