The Attorney General’s Office reported Thursday that the Criminal Court issued a verdict convicting three former ambassadors, three health officials, and two former cultural attachés at the Libyan mission to Ukraine.
It reported that the head of the prosecution at its Office completed the examination of oversight reports that indicated the delinquency of the performance of the mission’s officials from 2015 to 2019.
The indictment authority then concluded the mission’s officials before the Tripoli Criminal Court, which ruled in its last session to convict the defendants, imposing an eight-year prison sentence on them, fining them thirteen thousand dinars, and depriving them of their civil rights for the duration of the execution of the sentence and a year after its execution.
