Waha Oil Company has increased its oil production by 40,000 barrels per day since October 2022, the National Oil Corporation (NOC) reported last Friday 31 May.‎

‎Reporting on the technical details, the NOC said the latest Geosphere 3D and Long Reach technology was also used for the first time in the Dafa field by drilling the B220H horizontal well and drilling a horizontal section exceeding two thousand feet. ‎

‎The well was completed and tested with satisfactory results of more than 3,000 barrels, and a submersible pump and VSD production regulator are expected to be installed shortly to significantly increase well production.‎

‎Waha’s technical teams, it added, were able to complete and test the 6K5 development well in the Gallo (Jalu) field with a depth of about 11,000 feet, which produced 4,000 barrels per day and two million cubic feet of natural gas and was put on the production line in record time.‎

The NOC said this comes in implementation of its strategic plan to increase production.
