CBL receives results from meetings with international banks

The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Saddek El-Kaber, discussed Libyan business opportunities for French companies in Paris last week.

The discussions took place during a meeting last Friday (8 March) with MEDEF International, the French Business Confederation, in the presence of Philippe Gautier, Executive Director of MEDEF, Mostafa Mihraje, French Ambassador to Libya, and several French companies, institutions and ministries at MEDEF’s Paris headquarters.

Reporting in more detail yesterday, the CBL said that opportunities available for French companies to work in Libya, the importance of working to diversify sources of income and encourage the private sector, supporting the National Oil Corporation and the General Electricity Company of Libya, opening the way for renewable energies, and developing the health, water and sanitation sectors –  were the most important topics discussed during the meeting.
