The Libyan Industry Union (LIU) announced on Sunday that it has taken an important step towards supporting national industry, promoting spatial development, and encouraging the private sector and investment in Libya.
It announced that the first legislation has been published regulating the establishment and management of private industrial zones in Libya, where they are owned and managed by the private sector or local administration units/municipalities and governorates.
This decision was approved pursuant to No. (194) of 2023 AD, based on the decision of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, in cooperation and supervision from the General Authority for Industrial Estates.
The LIU said it is confident that this measure will contribute to strengthening the industrial sector in Libya and stimulating investment in industrial zones.
