Last Sunday Tripoli based Libyan Prime Minister, Abd Alhamid Aldabaiba, followed up with the Minister of Transportation, Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, the developments in activating Sebha and Ubari airports, operating local and international flights, and the return of Turkish Airlines to operating from Libyan airports.

During the meeting, Aldabaiba stressed the necessity of following up on the implementation of the Tripoli, Benina, and Misrata airport projects currently underway, and working to complete them according to the specified timetable.

For his part, Al-Shahoubi reported that Sebha Airport is operating an average of 27 local flights, adding that the airport will open two destinations to Cairo and Tunisia this November. He added that the Civil Aviation Authority is holding discussions to adopt several security and technical measures for the return of Turkish Airlines to Mitiga, Benina and Misrata airports.
