Libyan Airports Authority head visits London International Security Exhibition

Libya’s Airports Authority reported yesterday that its head, Mohamed Bait al-Mal, accompanied by several directors and employees of the Authority, attended the International Security Expo in London which began on 26th September.

The Airports Authority said the London exhibition is considered one of the largest forums for international companies specialized in the field of security and protection. During the visit, the products, technologies and offers of companies specialized in aviation and airport security were inspected, including manufacturers of security inspection and automatic detection devices.

Equipping and training
It also reported that discussion sessions took place with several companies on cooperating to equip and provide the needs of Libyan airports, in addition to training the Authority’s employees and increasing their efficiency in the areas of security.

Appendix Seventeen related to civil aviation security
This visit comes within the framework of the Authority’s efforts to improve and enhance security procedures and measures at Libyan airports and to implement the international and national requirements stipulated in Appendix Seventeen related to civil aviation security.
