The Ministry of Interior announced that the Libyan-Italian Working Group concerned with security affairs had reached an agreement last Wednesday (25 October) stipulating that Italy would continue to support the Libyan agencies concerned with combating irregular migration, crime, protecting borders, and securing the maritime coasts.
This came during the team’s third meeting in the Italian capital, Rome, where the meeting discussed ways to implement training courses to develop Libyan cadres, programming a visit by Italian experts to the Technical School at the General Administration of Training in preparation for the localisation of training in Libya to benefit the largest possible number of Libyan police members and identify direct contact points to exchange information about human trafficking gangs.
