Alahlia Cement Company CEO, board members imprisoned for LD 1.5 million fraud

The Public Prosecutor’s Office announced today that the Tripoli Criminal Court issued a ruling to imprison two members of the Board of Directors of the Ahlia Cement Joint Stock Company and its CEO, for a period of 18 months.

They were imprisoned for obtaining illegal material benefits amounting to LD 1.5 million in exchange for their termination of the contract for the supply of binding materials for cement clinker, concluded with Al-Sahab Company.

The Notary Public involved in the case who deliberately forged official documents, was also imprisoned for a period of 3 years, fined LD 75,000 dinars, and deprived of his civil rights for the period of implementation of the sentence.
