Turkey is considering the resumption of Turkish airliners’ flights to Libya. The news was revealed by the Tripoli based Libyan government Wednesday following Turkish Ambassador Kenan Yilmaz’s meeting with Abd Alhamid Aldabaiba in Tripoli.

The Tripoli Libyan government reported that the two discussed developments in the political and economic situation.

The meeting also discussed ‘‘the necessary procedures to facilitate the issuance of travel visas for Libyan citizens, and the possibility of Turkish Airlines returning to Libya’’.

The Turkish ambassador, the Libyan government reported, ‘‘expressed his readiness to overcome all the difficulties facing Turkish Airlines resuming its flights from Libya, stressing Ankara’s constant keenness to develop strategic relations with Libya’’.
