Libya discussed with Turkey ways to increase the number of flights to Libyan airports and facilitate direct flights between Turkish Airlines and Sabha International Airport, which would contribute to supporting air transport and enhancing regional connectivity.
The discussion came during a meeting held by the Minister of Transport and Financial Advisor to the Prime Minister, Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, with the Turkish Ambassador to Libya, Güven Begiç, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting focused on following up on the minutes of the Libyan Turkish Joint Committee meetings and exploring mechanisms for the return of Turkish companies and the resumption of their participation in reconstruction and development projects across Libya.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continued joint coordination to serve mutual interests and support development and stability efforts in Libya.
