Sirte and BACB to improve cooperation

Libya’s state Sirte Oil Company reported yesterday that its exploration well J3-NC101 at exploratory block NC101 in the Murzuq Basin is now achieving 1,150 barrels per day (bpd).

Sirte Oil explained that the well, at a depth of 7,833 feet, had initially produced only 560 bpd of crude oil but that this increased after replacing the low production rate pump with another pump with a high production rate.

The company stressed that the work was conducted by Libyan cadres.
