Libya’s Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohamed Aoun, discussed with the Russian Ambassador to Libya, Aydar Aganin yesterday, the activation of the Libyan-Russian Ministerial Committee after it had been suspended for years.
Aoun looked forward during his meeting with the Russian ambassador in the capital Tripoli yesterday to the participation of Russian companies in the exploratory rounds of the oil and gas sectors. He said this was because of the experience enjoyed by Russian companies. He also said he appreciated Moscow’s role through the “OPEC +” organization in maintaining the balance of the global oil market.
The Minister of Oil stressed the necessity of activating the joint committee, holding meetings and visits, and holding conferences, seminars and workshops to introduce Russian technology in the oil industries.
