Libya and Canada discuss ways to strengthen a ‘‘partnership and strategic cooperation’’ in the field of renewable energies.
The discussions took place last Wednesday at the Renewable Energies Authority of Libya’s (REAoL) Tripoli headquarters between the head of REAoL, Abdul Salam Al-Ansari, and the Canadian Ambassador to Libya, Isabelle Savard, and her accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, Al-Ansari affirmed the welcome to open the door for cooperation with Canada due to its advanced expertise and experiences in the field of renewable energies that can be used in developing the field of renewable energies in Libya.
For her part, REAoL reported, the Canadian ambassador, on her first visit to REAoL, conveyed her country’s support for development efforts in Libya.
Also present at the meeting were Osama Al-Darrat, Advisor to the Tripoli-based Libyan Prime Minister for Electricity and Renewable Energy Affairs, and Aseel Artema, Chairman of the state Renewable Energy Holding Company.
