Under the directives of the Office of the Attorney General and the instructions of the head of the Support and Development of Therapeutic Services Agency, and in cooperation with the Libyan Embassy’s Milan Health Bureau, a team of visiting doctors from Italy (Drs Stefano Astolfi, Roberto Massa and Luca Monzo) arrived in Tripoli last Saturday specializing in muscle atrophy, internal nerves, spine surgery and heart diseases.

The Italian team have been conducting examinations in Tripoli and Benghazi on urgent cases of atrophy patients, on the side lines of the International Conference for the Localization of (12 to 13 June), which is organized by the Agency for Support and Development of Clinical Services under the slogan “Restoration of Life by Localization of Treatment”, with the support of the Government of National Unity.

By the end of their visit, the team are expected to examine at least 106 cases between Libya’s eastern, southern, western and central regions. The Support and Development of Therapeutic Services Device reported that it provided the visiting Italian team with all the facilities, including transportation and residence.
