The Director of the Digital Media Centre Project at the Libyan Post Telecommunications and Information Holding Company (LPTIC), Mohamed Al-Badiri, denied that LPTIC’s subsidiary, the Libyana Mobile Phone Company, had been hacked. The denial was made in a statement published by the government media platform.
The statement came in response to social media reports purporting to show hackers displaying Libyana customers’ data.
Al-Badiri categorically denying that any system related to Libyana subscribers’ data has been hacked, stressing that the company’s cybersecurity team has responded to hacking attempts.
He called on all citizens who encountered a problem to visit the company to make sure that none of their data was hacked or leaked.
