The Ministry of Investment of the eastern-based and House of Representatives recognised ‘‘Libyan Government’’ led by Fathi Bashagha signed a cooperation agreement to implement investment projects with the BFI Co. Consortium, the China Railways International Group Company (CRI – a subsidiary of China Railway Group Ltd – CREC), and the British Arup International Engineering Company.

The agreement entails the implementation of reconstruction projects in Libyan cities, in the fields of roads, transportation and hospitals.

A source at the Tripoli-based Libyan Railways told Libya Herald that the agreement is a unilateral agreement signed between the commercial parties and the Bashagha government. It has nothing to do with Libyan Railways or the Tripoli-based Aldabaiba government. It is also not receiving any funding from any Tripoli entity.
