Libya’s state National Oil Corporation (NOC) reported that on Monday Zueitina Oil Company achieved a remarkable success in the experimental testing of the surface facilities of the “Al-Hakim” field, and the lighting of the flare, announcing the return of production from the field, after it had been suspended for nearly 7 years.

The NOC said one of the wells has been put on the production line, and it will be followed by a group of wells, with production is expected to reach 3,000 barrels per day before the end of the year.

The NOC said the restart of the field comes within its strategy to raise production rates.
