The Joint High State Council (HSC) and House of Representatives (HoR) 6+6 Referendum and Election Laws Drafting Committee convened for its first meeting last Wednesday at the Tripoli headquarters of the HSC.

The HSC reported that the meeting comes in response to the invitation extended by the HSC Committee to the corresponding HoR Committee, and it is the first preparatory meeting between the two committees, in preparation for drafting laws and legislation for the elections to be held before the end of this year in accordance with the thirteenth constitutional amendment.

During the meeting, it revealed, views were exchanged on the work strategy of the two committees, and the mechanisms that will be followed to perform the tasks assigned to them.

The HSC reported that the meeting took place in a positive atmosphere that gives rise to optimism about the possibility of completing the required legislation in the shortest time, and all members resolved to resolve all outstanding issues and overcome the difficulties that were an obstacle in this regard, taking into account the use of the opinion of experts, specialists and parties in many issues of concern. connection with these legislations.
