The EU, through its Musanda (Support) project with Libya, is to help Libya to better design and analyse policies and assess the impact of strategies.

The news came today after the meeting between the head of Libya’s National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB), Mahmoud Al-Futaisi and Layla Habash, Director of the EU’s Musanada Project.

The two parties discussed the scope of setting up a mechanism for providing technical support in the field of designing and analysing policies and measuring the impact of strategies, in order to raise Libya’s capabilities in this field.

Speaking to Libya Herald today, the Media Office of the NESDB confirmed that the NESDB continues to cooperate with all international organizations in the economic and social fields in the field of providing advice and technical assistance and benefiting from the global expertise that these organizations possess. These include the EU, the United Nations Mission and international organizations of the United Nations, the African Union and the League of Arab States.

The Media Office added that the NESDB has agreed to sign several memoranda of understanding and cooperation with a number of international organizations in a number of fields to benefit from their technical support and to provide them with expertise and knowhow.
