Transport Ministry

The Sudanese-Libyan Joint Economic Chamber urged progress on better transport linkages between Libya’s neighbouring countries, including Sudan.

The call came during their meeting Monday with Libya’s Transport Minister Mohamed Shahubi at his Tripoli office.

The Ministry reported that the meeting aimed to strengthen the bonds of friendship, cooperation and integration, and to activate joint work in the interest of the two people.

On the side-lines of this meeting, it reported that the visiting delegation gave the minister an overview of the newly established chamber and the work of the Economic Forum for Libyan and Sudanese businessmen, which was held at the end of last month in Tripoli.

The Joint Chamber also presented the decisions and demands of the forum, including the establishment of roads linking with neighbouring countries, including Sudan, as well as air transport, passengers and freight.
