The International Forum for Strategies for Developing the Libyan Health Sector is taking place in Tripoli from 16 to 18 November.
As the forum’s name indicates, the event is attempting to come up with strategies to develop Libya’s failed health sector, despite receiving budgets in the billions annually.
The failed sector has forced millions of Libyans annually to spend their personal savings on healthcare abroad in countries such as Tunisia, Turkey, Jordan and for the higher socio-economic strata in EU states.
