Misrata Free Zone reported Monday that the implementation of its first integrated container terminal project had reached 70 percent completion.
It reported that work is continuing on the implementation of the first phase of the container terminal paving project along the new berths on an area of 50,000 square meters.
The new container terminal project includes paving works, infrastructure, a yard equipped to operate refrigerated containers, a lighting system and a fire extinguishing system. It will be implemented in three phases, with a total area of 150,000 square meters.
It is reports that this is the first container terminal to be implemented by Libyan ports.
