The workshop, part of a series of workshops previously implemented with the Tax Authority, comes within the broader framework of the implementation of a project funded by the French government that aims to support in developing the authority’s tax system and digitizing its services.
The workshop brought together Omar Al Zawraq, Deputy Director of the General Tax Authority, and the Authority’s digital transformation project team, with a team from Expertise France and a group of French tax administration experts.
The objective is to draft, in close collaboration with the Libyan Tax Authority, the terms of reference for the selection of a digital solution for online filing and payment of taxes in line with the strategic plan of the Libyan tax Authority.
