The Minister of Marine Wealth, Adel Sultan, conducted an inspection tour of Tolmeitha (Ptolemais) port on Monday, located in the Municipality of Jabal Al-Akhdar Coast and 109 km east of Benghazi.
The Minister was following up on the port’s maintenance projects and on the stages of their implementation.
The tour included a visit to the pier whose maintenance work has been completed, and the breakwater project that has begun.
During his visit, the minister discussed the problems and difficulties facing fishermen in the port and discussed with them their requirements and promised to work on addressing their problems.
A modern ice factory dedicated to the port was also delivered to fishermen for the preservation and cooling of fish, the Ministry reported.
