The Tripoli-based Libyan government announced yesterday that it has approved reciprocal agreement with four countries that have agreed to allocate land or buildings for use by Libyan embassies in their countries.
To this end, it has issued its decisions number 781/2022, 724/2022 and 761/2022 to allocate land to the embassies of:
- Qatar
- Turkey
- the United Arab Emirates
- the United States,
The government also stated that it is coordinating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with regard to the rest of the embassies dealing with the same principle.
The area allocated to the above mentioned four countries to establish new embassies is located within a compound designated by the Public Property Authority east of the Mitiga airport / base complex in Tripoli.
