Spanish La Liga football club, Celta Vigo, officially opened its academy in Tripoli last week, the official Libyan state news agency LANA reported.
The academy will focus on junior football players from the age of 4 to 17.
The news was first reported by the Spanish Embassy in Tripoli on 21 October 2021 when it had announced that it had received representatives of Celta de Vigo on a visit to Tripoli.
It had congratulated all sides after explaining that Celta Vigo coaches will train players and coaches in Tripoli from all regions of Libya, together with local club Forsan Elmotawaset.
