Turkey’s Albayrak Group is to establish a cold storage facility at the Misrata Free Zone (MFZ), the company informed Libya Herald at the Shippex Libya 2020 exhibition being held at Tripoli Sports City 23-24 May.

The cold storage site will be a bonded facility enabling clients to store goods and only pay duties once they leave the warehouses. Moreover, the company explained that they are targeting the wider regional transit trade to the rest of the African continent.

The cold storage facilities will be built on a total area of 36,000 m2. They will include double (cold and frozen) and single (frosty) regime cooling systems.

Temperatures will range from minus 18 to plus 16, and are designed to reach minus 40 degrees when necessary, depending on the products to be served.
