Egypt Air announced that it will restart flights between Cairo and Benghazi as of 18 April.
The airliner said that this is partly in response to demand from the many Egyptians living and working in eastern Libya, but it is also to help boost trade between the two countries.
It will be recalled that Egypt Air stopped flying to Libya in 2014. The resumption of Egypt Air flights to Libya will make it the second foreign airline to fly to Libya.
Tunisair had already restarted flights to the country.
