London, 29 December 2021:
Libya’s Customs Authority reported last Wednesday that Italy’s Engineering & Software Industrial company began to supply and install the rest of its contractual obligations.
Through its local representative, the company began its road paving and preparing for the launch of four electronic gates to monitor departing and returning travellers at the Libyan Tunisian Ras Ajdir border crossing. This will be two parallel lanes on the departure side and two parallel lanes on the arrival side.
The Customs Authority said this comes as part of its plan to provide land border crossings with the best and latest equipment and technologies, in order to facilitate the movement of passengers.
It will also contribute to enhancing the role of the Customs Authority in enhancing security and facilitating the movement of passengers at border crossings.
