Tripoli, 11 November 2021:
The activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Week were launched on Monday, organized by the Global Entrepreneurship Network, and hosted by the Libyan Academy of Graduate Studies in Janzur.
The establishment of the Leadership and Innovation Centre at the Academy were also announced.
Speaking at the event, Libyan Business Council (LBC) head Abdalla Fellah praised the efforts of the Global Entrepreneurship Network represented by its CEO Mukhtar Al-Juwaili. He expressed his happiness that the private sector spoke for the first time from a hall in which the private sector has always been attacked during the previous regime, when the Academy was a platform for closed and stereotyped ideas.
Fellah stressed that the LBC was a forerunner in supporting the entrepreneurship sector and youth, as it included many of them as its members and sought to provide initial financing for their projects by linking them with financing bodies, whether banks or investors.
He reminded the audience that the LBC had created a division for young entrepreneurs, to be side by side with established business owners to exchange experiences, benefit from successful experiences and discuss opportunities to finance their projects.
The LBC had also allowed entrepreneurs to participate free of charge in its business platform and provided them with the opportunity to introduce their projects and search for potential investors and financiers through the platform.
