London, 6 October 2021:

Libya’s Ministry of Marine Wealth reported yesterday that it had delivered two modern ice plants to Tripoli’s two main fish markets.

The plants were for the Sug il -Juma and main Bab Il Baher fish markets. The Ministry said the new ice plants will help fishermen in the production, storage and preservation of their catch operations.

The investment comes as part of the government’s efforts to diversify Libya’s economy and create revenues and jobs in non-hydrocarbon sectors.
