London, 8 July 2021:

Unifying the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) is ‘‘a goal that must be achieved, and as soon as possible, through which we can unite efforts to build.’’, Prime Minister Abd Alhamid Aldabaiba told UNSMIL head Jan Kubis.

He also confirmed that any observations related to government performance in this report will receive the necessary attention from us.

The statement came yesterday when Aldabaiba was presented by Kubis with the first copy of the international independent audit of the CBL Tripoli and Al-Beida branches, which was prepared under the supervision of UNSMIL.
