Libyan Health Minister Ali Zanati met at the headquarters of the Tunisian Ministry of Health his Tunisian counterpart Fawzi Mahdi last Thursday to discuss ways of cooperation and partnership in the health field between the two countries.
During the meeting, a mechanism for activating the agreements concluded between the two countries was discussed, supporting cooperation in the field of medicines and benefiting from Tunisian experience in the management of health institutions were discussed.
The meeting also touched upon cooperation in combating new and emerging diseases while the two sides stressed the need to exchange experiences in confronting the pandemic.
The two sides also stressed support for encouraging the exchange of medical delegations and finding practical solutions to pay off debts arising from the treatment of Libyan patients in Tunisian health institutions.
