London, 3 March 2021:

Shiban used tyres recycling factory continues its production of mini rubber pellets of various sizes. The factory has received much praise and won the 2020 SME Expo award for best SME project.

The factory uses 100 percent local labour and local raw materials – which was cited for its winning the prize. The factory is seen and cited as a local champion and model for other budding local SMEs.

It has also helped Libya’s major environmental headache of discarded used tyres which filled landfill sites or were burnt.
