London, 1 March 2021:
Prime Minister designate of the Government of National Unity, Abd Alhamid Aldabaiba, called on the Libyan people not to be dragged into the attempts to disrupt the process of forming his government and disrupt the process of granting confidence to it by adopting the approach of spreading rumours and false news.
He stressed the integrity of the process in which the new authority was chosen, which took place with complete transparency, which the Libyans witnessed through different television and the media.
This comment comes on the back of recent media reports of a suppressed UN report on bribery attempts during the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) process that selected Aldabaiba.
Aldabaiba affirmed that the stage of living in light of political and institutional division, absence of services and poor economic conditions has almost ended.
He assured the Libyan people that the completion of the first phase of the road map through the process of granting confidence to the government has become close, once again fulfilling its pledges and obligations towards the Libyan people so that it will be a government that represents all Libyans and preserves their dignity and rights inside and outside the country.
He further affirmed that he relies on the Libyan people’s awareness and understanding of the extent of the challenges and obstacles placed in front of the process of unifying institutions and achieving reconciliation, according to what was published by his Media Office.
