London, 26 October 2020:
Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced that on Friday (23 October) the second refining unit (Topping Unit) was restarted at Zawia refinery. The unit’s production capacity is 60,000 barrels per day (100%).
The NOC expects the rest of the industrial units ((platforming units), processing units for stabilizing the production, aviation fuel production unit, and asphalt production unit, will be operational once the internal electrical energy production sources (steam turbines) are stabilized.
It said that the most important oil products represented in Gasoil, Fuel Oil, and Kerosene, have now become within the specifications, and are transferred to the tanks prepared for them.
