The German aid implementation agency GIZ announced today that on Tuesday, a group of Libyan businesswomen met in Tripoli to start the Women in Business Mentoring and Networking Programme.
GIZ reported that the purpose of the programme is to encourage interested women to start their own business, network among female entrepreneurs, exchange knowledge, experience and information as well as mentoring of female entrepreneurs through experienced businesswomen.
The activity is being conducted by the ICE – International Consultants for Entrepreneurship and Enterprise and is part of the European Union and Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ)- funded ‘Supporting Municipalities in Libya’ project that is implemented by GIZ in cooperation with the internationally-recognized Libyan Ministry of Local Governance.
