The Committee charged with reviewing financially troubled state companies held its first meeting on Wednesday (30 September) at the Tripoli Economy Ministry’s headquarters to discuss its mechanism, action, and ways to implement its tasks.
The Ministry reported that the Committee would determine these ailing company’s financial and legal status and conduct a stocktake of their employees. It will also decide if some these Qaddafi-era companies will be liquidated.
It will be recalled that thousands of employees of these ailing state companies have been awaiting salary payments for years.
