London, 19 August 2020:

Faiez Sarraj, the internationally recognized prime minister of Libya, met on Monday with the Turkish and Qatari Defence Ministers.

The Tripoli government reported that the talks focused on the latest situation in Libya and the military build-up east of Sirte and the Jufra area.

The talks also touched on the areas of military and security cooperation and the security and defence capacity-building programmes of the Tripoli government forces, as well as coordination mechanisms between the defence ministries of the three countries.
