London, 30 July 2020:

Libya’s Air Ambulance service reported that it has resumed its service with the recent transport of 80 patients to Tunisia, Osama Ali, the service’s Media Coordinator, confirmed to Libya Herald.

“After solving the problems related to landing permits in Tunisia, the Air Ambulance Service was able to send 80 medical cases and their escorts to the State of Tunisia,” he explained.

“Most of the cases are being treated abroad, some of whom have overdue medical follow up appointments, delayed due to the airspace closure, and the prohibition of Libyan aviation from land at airports of friendly and brotherly countries due to the Corona pandemic,” he said.

Ali added that “These trips were carried out in cooperation with Wings Airlines free of charge”, noting that the Air Ambulance service continued to operate through its e-booking system on its official website.
